1 cup tamari
1/2 tsp liquid smoke
4 tbsp maple syrup
2 tsp onion powder, garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp cayenne
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp cumin
Mix all marinade ingredients in container.
If using mushrooms: with a spoon, remove “gills” and slice mushrooms caps into 1/4 inch strips.
If using carrots: use peeler or mandolin to slice carrots into thin ribbons.
Pour marinade on top of mushrooms or carrots and marinade for at least 1 hour. Make sure mushrooms or carrots are completely submerged in liquid.
Dehydrate in stove on lowest heat until desired bacon crispyness consistency is reached – 1 to 3 hours.
